Dr. Mala Freeman-Kwaku has been serving the women of South Charlotte for more than 20 years. She founded Arboretum Gynecology with the belief that exceptional gynecological care begins with knowing your patient — not just her chart.

After completing her residency and earning board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. FreemanKwaku made the decision to focus exclusively on gynecology. That choice allows her to give every patient her full attention and the depth of care that a GYN-only practice makes possible.

Dr. Freeman-Kwaku is one of a limited number of Charlotte-area physicians offering the Cerene® procedure, a minimally invasive in-office treatment for heavy menstrual bleeding. She is also skilled in diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, colposcopy, and minimally invasive GYN procedures.
